What happens to the route connected to a routed port on a multilayer switch when the port goes down?

    A direct relationship exists between the status of a routed interface and the availability of the corresponding directly connected subnet. When or if the interface's ports goes down or was configured to shutdown state, the corresponding connected route is immediately removed from the routing table.
