2x+11 + x^2 - 3 = 43

x^2 + 2x + 8 = 43

x^2 + 2x - 35 = 0

(x + 7) (x - 5) = 0

so x = - 7 and x = 5.

Only x = 5 makes sense so

side 1 = x + 5 = 10

side 2 = x + 6 = 11

side 3 = x^2 - 2x = 15

side 4 = 2x - 3 = 7

Check:

10 + 11 + 15 + 7 = 21 + 22 = 43
