Is it safe to take apart a computer monitor?

I would recommend contacting the hardware company (so if its a dell, contact dell, not Microsoft). Most of the time it is safe for the user, but I'm sure you want to avoid damaging the device. I recommend taking it to a professional service if you are trying to get it maitenenced.
