What is hard disk and compact disk?

A hard disk also referred to as HDD is a rigid non-removable magnetic disk with a large data storage capacity. While a compact disk is a small plastic disc on which music or other digital information is stored in the form of a pattern of metal-coated pits from which it can be read using laser light reflected off the disc.
