Hilary must add the schema to the Excel file, and then she must import the XML file before she can export the data.

    D. She must add the schema to the Excel file, and then she must import the XML file.

    Explanation:

In excel where data are stored and referenced with rows and column, for example D4 referred as "D" is column and "4" is rows.

So end user can enter the data or import data or copy and paste in each cells or selected cells.

To save excel to xml format is just click "FILE" menu and select "SAVE AS" and select the file type and select xml it will prompt for filename and save. Note that cell to me mapped properly before saving the data.

Xml is format where data is stores in flat file or plain files. Where or rows first under columns are stored.
