    V = I times R

    I = current (rate of flow of electric charge)

    R = resistance (opposition to flow of current)

    V = voltage

    Now ...

    we have 12 ohms = r

    v = 24 v

    i = v/r

    i = 24/12

    i = 2 A (ampere)
