In the database management system (DBMS), the cardinality is basically refers to the table that represent the given relationship between the row of table to the row of the another table in the database.

It also represent the maximum value of the relationship in an entity. The main two choices for the cardinality are one and many.

For example: The credit card organization that contain two table: one table represent the individual that getting the card and another table the actual card.
