How to change the margins in google docs?

Below the toolbar at the top of your screen and above the text field you should see a blue arrow on the left and one on the right of a bar that looks similar to a ruler. You need to drag these arrows to the position of the ruler where you want your margins to be, so when you type, your text will start at the left arrow and not go past the right arrow.
