    Bernoulli's equation is valid for the following flow conditions:

    1) Flow is inviscous (friction free flow).

    2) Flow is irrotational.

    3) Flow must be incompressible

    4) Flow must be steady.

    Explanation:

    Bernoulli's equation is the form of conservation of energy when applied to fluids. It states that the sum of potential head, pressure head and kinetic head in a fluid flow which satisfy's the condition of in-viscid, steady, in compressible flow above parameters remain constant.

    1) In viscid condition makes the flow highly easy to solve as effects of viscosity and turbulence are eliminated.

    2) Steady flow assumption makes the properties of the flow constant over time thus making the mathematical analysis much easier. Although the properties of flow may vary over position.

    3) In compressible flow again makes the mathematical analysis easier.

    Although all the limitations in the Bernoulli's equation can be eliminated by introducing the terms that account for effect of each of the above conditions but in that case the mathematical analysis becomes much more involved.
