The sentence that is punctuated correctly is: The beach cookout included lobster, crab, clams, and corn on the cob. The correct answer is option B. Why did this sentence only used commas and did not include a colon? This sentence does not need a colon because the series of items is introduced by the verb "included". Colons should only be used in the sentence if the items are not introduced by verbs and prepositions.
