Draw the shape you want your finished mosaic to be on a piece of wood.

Use a jigsaw to cut out the shape.

Drill holes in the top of the wood for hangers.

Prepare the surface.

Sand the surface so that it is relatively smooth.

Clean the surface.

Apply the mosaic pieces.

Spread mortar on the wood.

Lay the tile in your chosen pattern.

Apply grout between the tiles.

Wipe off excess grout.
