Next, you'll need to read your laundry detergent directions to determine how much to add. If you want your clothes, towels, and bedding to be soft, you should add fabric softener as well. Finally, put your clothes in the washing machine. If you have a top-load washing machine, turn it on, add your clothes, and close the lid. If you have a front-load washing machine, add your clothes, close the door, and turn the machine on.
