Why does suffering so often lead to a loss of faith? Why does suffering sometimes lead to an increase of faith?

    I love to talk on this subject mainly because people can go either way.

    Lets use the example of God - Suffering can tend to lead to a loss of faith becasue people are like what kind of God would do such a thing why would he put me through this this isn't right there is no way that a God would do that

    Although suffering can also tend to lead to a gain of faith, typically when people are going through really hard times and they want to believe in something that will make them feel better or give them confidence it does even have to be God but this can apply to many things
