Personification means to give human characteristics to stuff that's not human related: The train was so loud I thought it was my sister talking to me.

Metaphor is comparing two unlike things to be another: Todd has the heart of Romeo. Meaning that Todd shows loving traits like Romeo.

Simile is comparing two different things with the words ''like'' and as'' and so for ex: On the court, aaron was on fire like a flame.
