How did odysseus get to calypso's island?

Odysseus's men ate the Greek god Hermes' cattle because they were starving, so in return Hermes asked Poseidon to destroy Odysseus's ship and drown his men. And when Poseidon destroyed Odysseus's ship, Odysseus floated around lost at sea until eventually he washed up on Calypso's shore.
