Is there any error in the below sentence

1) The students' final scores on the exams improved significantly when compared to their earlier scores.

    Umm I think that there should be a comma, after significantly as well

    In my opinion, there isn't, but I'm just guessing. Maybe there should be a comma between "significantly" and "when"?
