Why does everything have to do with social media? why can't the world be more interactive?

Social media allows you to communicate with people all around the world. Without it, you wouldn't be able to talk to your friends in another country.

Wow, this is actually a very good question. This can really only be an opinion, so bare with me. I believe that people use social media more than actually being interactive is because they're scared. If someone talks to you online then it may be a bit easier because you don't have to talk face to face and use proper manners (introverts especially, although they can really enjoy the world as well). You don't have to automatically answer questions for anyone online like you would have to in the real world. You can take your time and think. You can also meet friends that aren't in your country and find emotional support from strangers. Some people find it easier to trust in strangers, which I personally do not believe. The world is still interactive, just more mentally than physically. Sorry if that made no sense at all!
