The struggle in here is nothing but coward vs. avenger. The previous is an excerpt of the thoughts of a Barber who is a rebel and he is shaving a captain in the military. The barber does not know if killing the capatin would turn him into a hero having the chance the avenge the rebels or if that will turn him into a murderer. He may have tought he would be a coward by being a murderer.
