    From the name John H. Logan who lived from 1841-1928. He is an American horticulturist.

    Loganberry is a hybrid of species Rubus idaeus and Rubus vitifolius. American lawyer and breeder James Harvey Logan accidentally got this variety of berries in his garden in 1883.
