A summary of The Most Dangerous Game

The hunters become the hunted. In the beginning of the story, Rainsford and Whitney were traveling on a boat to an island and they had a short discussion about hunting. Rainsford is pretty much known for hunting and during his conversation with Whitney he had zero empathy for the animals. When he reaches the island, he meets General Zaroff. General Zaroff instantly recognizes him as a renowned hunter. Later on in the story, Zaroff reveals that he got bored with hunting animals and started hunting humans. Zaroff tries to kill Rainsford, but in the end Rainsford survives.
