    The correct answer should be D. Modern monsters can hide within normal society whereas historical monsters lived outside of society. This is very common in literature nowadays as monsters are nowadays people who publicly behave like like regular members of the society. Historically, monsters were grotesque creatures that were not even human most of the time.
