Laws should be known to public. Discuss in relation to Franz Kafka's text from chapter 1 of The Trial.

    The public should be made known of laws. In the story, the main character is arrested for something he does not know about. Although we have the saying, "Ignorance of the law excuses no one, " it remains to be true that a person is less likely to commit a crime if he knows the existing or new laws.
