How does the title "The Interlopers" illustrate the theme of the story? Interlopers are people who share with each other. Hunters upset the balance of nature by interloping. The rescuers were too late to save the interlopers. The interlopers could not win out over nature.

    Hunters upset the balance of nature by interloping. Interloping means to invade or intrude into someone else's territory unwelcome. In the story wolves come towards them. The men thought that they were each other's enemies, but they have upset the forests true owners, the animals who live there. It brings up the question, can man really own the land?
