If the author is bias then they might twist their words to favor one thing rather than another without giving the whole truth or letting the audience form their own opinion.

Well, if you have a biased remark or person telling the story, it will effect the reader by not giving them any facts from the other side. Examples include opinion articles, msnbc, and all different types of biased literature.
