Like the great nations of Barbados, Bhutan, Chad, and the Congo, the United States has ratified neither the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities or its Optional Protocol. The convention was based on General Assembly resolution A/Res/61/106. Locate the meeting record for thisresolution and read the statement made the U. S. delegate.     The United States delegate was Mr Walter Miller

    The perambular (u) which affects Article 11 (Situations of risk and humanitarian emergencies) will undermine existing international humanitarian law on situations of armed conflict and lead to legal conflict.
