What are hardships August from the book Wonder go through?

Many people like Julian made fun of Auggie's (August) appearance. Julian and his friends, Henry and Miles, leave mean notes in his locker, and people play a game called The Plague. In this game, if you touch Auggie, you'll have to wash your hands in under 15 seconds. Auggie had only 2 friends in middle school - Summer and Jack Will - but later in the book, he is friends with almost the whole school. These are some hardships August went through.
