Bob Ewell is the Ewell patriarch and is mean, drunken, and uneducated. He knows full well that Tom Robinson is innocent, but accuses him of ra*e anyway to benefit his own social standing. When he is humiliated at the trial, he retaliates by h*r*ssing Tom's wife and attempting to murd*r Scout and Jem.
