is it correct to say that Banquo is more cautious by temperament while Macbeth gets easily excited? give reasons for your answer.

    Explanation:

    At the beginning of Macbeth, Shakespeare's play, both Macbeth and Banquo hear the witches' prophecy about their future (Macbeth finds out he would become a king, and Banquo that his descendants will rule the country).

    Macbeth gets excited and chooses to act on what he hears. He devises a plan to murder the current king, which he does. Banquo is more modest and cautious, and does not do anything that would fasten the process of his son becoming a king. It is through their reaction to the witches' prophecy that Shakespeare portrays the difference in their characters.
