Both of those poem where written by Yates. Easter 1916 talks about the Irish Revolution whereas the Second Coming seems to be talking more about Jesus's second coming. When reading the poems "Easter 1916" and "The Second Coming", Some similarities can be drawn from them. Even though 'The second coming' is about Jesus's rebirth, it could also be related to the Irish revolution just like Easter 1916 is. This is because the second coming talks about another chance and moving towards Bethlehem this could be the same as the Irish revolutionaries making drastic changes and marching towards Dublin to start the chain of events thatbrought about Irelands split from the United Kingdom. Easter 1916 is about the Irish revolution and says that itt was a good thing and even though some of the characters aren't described as being the best of people in the second stanza, in the last one Yates praises them and said that as 'heros'. In contrast to the Second Coming, if it was on about the Irish revolutionarys they definatly would not be seen as heros and more as enemies. Yates's poems are both modernist because they tell us about issues from different angles than what they where seen as when they occured.
