    Answer with Explanation:

In the Greek mythology, "Prometheus" was considered one of the Titans. He was known for being a "trickster" or for deceiving others for his gain.

Prometheus's motivation for "playing with fire" was to give it to the humans, whom he made out of clay. He stole the fire from Zeus who got very angry of him and, as a consequence, he was punished. He was sentenced to an eternal torment, whereby he was chained to a rock forever. An eagle would come to eat his liver on a daily basis. Then, it would regenerate at night, but will be eaten again by the same eagle the following day.

The reason for stealing fire from Zeus was the fact that he wanted to give both "art" and "fire" as special gifts to the humans. He was a champion to mankind because he knew well how the humans lived in the cold caves, while the Gods were comfortably living with the warmth of fire.
