How do Rainsford and the general differ in their notion of

"civilized"?

    Note that while both men are interested in hunting they share different views as regards what is considered good for hunting.

    Rainsford on the one hand view it as civilized to hunt animals for food, but rejects the Idea of hunting to kill human beings.

    However, the General does not see any thing wrong with hunting down humans, this shows a sharp difference between him and Rainsford in their notion of civilisation.
