Answer: No. Nor a College Education.

Explanation: As popular as it may be or sound, the "best" generally rise not from funding by someone else, but by their own initiative in finding and working their way up with greater independence. I knew too many people who had the "free ride" and failed; those with much effort of their own continue on. My "success" was from 3-5 jobs; the 1st was do in part to a knock on the door of a Chemistry Professor, and be paid to do actual research. I learned MUCH, had papers published before I ever had a degree, was paid, and with other jobs which varied from prep work in other laboratories to tutoring in the athletic department, made it on my own.

Now, if someone gets that enormous check from the Government, and that means the taxpayer, the Universities will only raise the prices AGAIN on all they can in other to collect more than they do now! You will still pay something!

If, for whatever reason, a student quits, do they pay back for those fun semesters they had at someone else's expense? How can they?

Independence in the most important of things will generally lead to the best possible outcome, no matter how popular the opposing view is.
