Write a paragraph about Mary Shelley's background

In the preface to the 1831 edition of the novel, Shelley wrote that the idea first came to her in the summer of 1816. This is when she wrote Frankenstein. She was a British author. Her book Frankenstein was her own alienation and isolation. When she began writing, her first story, was a short story. Mary Shelley got married at the age of 16 to her 22 year old husband Percy. They had a daughter a few years later named Clara, and she died during a household move. Mary did not have a formula education, but that did not stop her from writing.
