    For Scrooge, Christmas is nothing but a fraud or a humbug and not a reason to be happy for a celebration because he has no money or poor. His nephew (Fred) answered him that although they are poor, it is still a reason to celebrate because it is that one time of the year where people rejoice and open up presents and hearts.
