How does ambition change our relationship with others and alter our attitude and actions?

Ambition can make us try to manipulate or use others in a relationship to get what is wanted, which can weaken a relationship. However, ambition can be shared in a relationship, with both friends (or otherwise) working toward their goal, which can strengthen the relationship. In both cases, ambition changes people's actions, for the better or worse.
