Bob is wrong. He would only need 20 feet of carpet. This is true because of the length and with of the room is only 10 feet then it would be 10 times 10 and that equals 20 feet

Answer: ok. So he buys 1 foot by 1 foot squares and not off of a roll.

If his room is 10 feet long and 10 feet wide, the area is 100 square feet.

Get a measuring tape and see how big 20 square feet is. It can be 10 feet long by 2 feet wide. That is a hallway or walkway!
