    They really didn't like Christmas

    They believed in fairies

    If they liked it then they should have put a thimble on it

    They were kind to scholar

    but rotten to adulterers

    and positively medieval to Quakers

    They liked a drink

    None of their hats had buckles on

    Life was so hard, the children preferred to be abducted by Native Americans

    Naming a child was an act of spiritual prediction
