If you could design your own curriculum, what areas of study would be included and why?

Areas of study refers to the different academic disciplines and branches which are included in higher education programmes, such as social, natural, formal and applied sciences, and humanities.

According to my academic education as an English teacher, the area of study that I would include in my own curriculum is Humanities; more specifically the branch of Languages and Literature, which includes the category Linguistics.
