id say that what the meaning is that love is desperate and weak. always looking for something. and when love finds something they see it as golden and beautiful. when it turns out not to be the precious thing they thought it was, they are still glad to have whatever it was because at least it satsifies them in one way, even if it's not what they thought it was at first
