    He is troubled and uncertain.

    Explanation:

William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" revolves around the avenge plot of a young prince Hamlet for the death of his father, the king Hamlet. The whole play deals with the themes of good over evil, insanity and the issue of appearance versus reality.

Hamlet gave lots of soliloquies within the course of the play. But almost all of them present the young prince as troubled and uncertain about what he needs to do and what he wants to do. At times, he is conflicted within himself, even presenting himself to be insane. He knows he needs to avenge his father's murder but at the same time, felt unsure of what to do about it and even have a conflict in his conscience.
