    Malcolm comes to Boston in search of a job and stays with his half sister Ella. Ella insist Malcolm to explore Boston before taking up any job.

    Explanation:

    Malcolm just shifted from Michigan to Boston in search of a job and stays with his half sister Ella. Malcolm very soon finds a Ballroom job for himself which includes selling condoms and shining shoes but gradually he learns that the source of main income is to sell alcohol and marijuana.

    Malcolm begins to Gamble, drink and smoke, he starts drugging himself. He also buys a suit for himself and gets a new hairstyle. Gradually, Malcolm overcomes his shyness and develops a great passion for dancing. He learns the expressive form of dancing that goes on in the Boston parties.

    So, from the above statement we can see that Malcolm's overall perspective about dancing, job, lifestyle changes as he shifts to Boston
