There's not question that Frankenstein is a great book and worth reading. But remember that Mary Shelley was a bit of an amateur as a novelist. Sometimes her characters react to circumstances in strange ways--especially Dr. Frankenstein. Talk about some situations in the novel where his actions don't seem plausible or realistic. Does it ruin the story for you?
