    b. The setting is a central force in the conflict of the story.

    b. Bradbury appeals to the reader's sense of hearing to emphasize the endless sound of rain.

    Explanation:

The story of "All Summer in a Day" by Ray Bradbury tells the lives of the children and their families in Venus, where it has been raining for the past seven years. This science fictional work of literature set in an elementary school on the planet Venus shows the lives of these small children living in the tunnels.

    1. The setting itself of the story is the main key to the conflict f the whole plot / story. Away from the normal human habitation, Earth, the people in this planet have to try to survive and find ways to maintain the civilization. The conflict that the main character Margot brings forth is her knowledge of the sunshine. She had come to Venus much later than the other children, who were taken when they were two years old. Her memory of what the sunlight feels like makes the other children jealous of her.

    2. With the use of the figurative language shows the writer appealing to the sense of hearing to the readers. This figurative language provides more emphasis on the incessant raining, the endless sound of the rains that the children have to keep on hearing and are used to it.
