The narrator says that the love between Annabel's and him was so true and pure that even angels were envious of them. The narrator says that no angels nor demons could ever separate their souls for the are eternal. Even after the death of his lover, the narrator would be reminded of Annabel whenever the moon beams shine at night or the stars sparkle at night. The narrator says he lays besides Annabel's tomb by the sea every night whom he calls his 'life' and 'bride'.
