Why are shakespere's plays considered difficult for modern students to understand

Shakespeare's plays are considered difficult for modern students to understand because the plays were translated from another language and sometimes don't make sense. Also, because Shakespeare left out, rearranged, or altered words so that they fit the structure of his verse, which made the plays hard to read/listen to.
