A guard was apologising for taking time, but explaining that he had to pause several times on his way to consider the story he will tell about Him and the other guards discovery that the body of polyneices has been buried. He says that their had been no indication of when it was done and who did it.

They all suggested that the burial may have been the work of the gods. but Creon didnt believe that as he said it can't be possible. Creon belives that the wealthy men in Thebes that resisted his law are responsible for the burial and will be purnished with death.
