They are believed to be the first of Humans, as both of them lived in the heavens. While, they were offered with each and everything they desired, but there was not much but only one restriction on them, and that was not to eat one specific fruit from a single tree, which was located inside the Heaven. With the exception of that one fruit they had the permission to live there lives upon there own will freely.

As, we all know that human nature can not be trusted, and it was the same for Adam and Eve. Both, of them were deceived by Satan (The devil). As some say that, the devil appeared in the form of sense to them and whispered in there ears to pluck that one specific fruit and eat, while others say that, the devil appeared in the form of some thing else rather then just a sense or feeling.

Consequences:

The one true creater ordered them leave the heavens, as they were found disobeying his will, which was not supposed to be like that, and then they came down to the Earth and they had kids, which grew in number generation after generations.
