To persuade readers to eat greens for their health.

    Explanation:

In this paragraph, the author is mentioning about the vitamins present in the green leafy vegetables. Addition to that, he is also mentioning about diseases like heart diseases and diabetes, which can be prevented by eating these vegetables. So, this paragraph is not only informing about the vitamins in the leafy greens and dangerous diseases but giving an idea about the health benefits we will get from the green vegetables. There is no place in this paragraph he entertains the readers, with his personal story about heart health. Hence this author wrote this paragraph to persuade readers to eat greens for their health.
