Felix and Antonio fight so fiercely against each other in the ring that they don't hear the bell ring.

    Explanation:

Amigo Brothers is a short story written by Piri Thomas. Felix and Antonio are best friends living in a poor neighborhood of New York. They are young men, not interested in being members of a gang or anything similar, but in a training box very passionately. Through the years they have trained it together and developed different fighting styles. Two weeks before the Golden Gloves Championship Tournament they find out that they must fight each other which causes a lot of worry for possible ruining of their friendship, so they promise to each other that they will not let that this interfere with their relationship. The match day comes, they both fight honorably. After the bell in the round three, they keep fighting and suddenly realize that they do not want to hurt their friendship, so they leave the ring together and we do not know who won the match.
