    The correct answer should be A) Social divide

    Heathcliff was a poor boy who was adopted and never had proper schooling or etiquette while she was always leaning towards marrying someone rich and educated. Unfortunately for her, when he came back to the Heights that's exactly what he became so her life became much harder.
